Get involved

Our Residence Life Manager works with the Sport and Activity team to host a range of hall competitions and tournaments throughout the academic year. The emphasis is very much on having fun and getting involved. All residents in University halls are welcome, whether they are complete beginners or experienced players. You can either sign up with friends and flatmates or solo. Either way, you’ll be put in a team to represent your hall. Earn points for your residence just by taking part, and every time your team wins a game you’ll get bonus points.

 

 

Sign Up To Competitions

The easiest way to find out about upcoming competitions and to enter is by downloading the UoD Active app and joining the Halls Sport community. To do so:

  1. Download the app via the Google Play or Apple App Store
  2. Create an account using your university email address
  3. Join the halls sport community
  4. Enter the competitions of your choice

Joining in the hall's event is a surefire way to make new friends from your own hall and others. Even if you don’t consider yourself as sporty, there’s a chance to get involved as activities are open to all abilities and you don’t need any experience.
