Apprenticeships

Whether you're an employer looking to upskill your workforce and drive business growth and innovation, or you're an employee interested in gaining a recognised qualification and specialist skills to support your career progression, our apprenticeship programmes will prepare you for a successful future.

At the University of Derby, we're passionate about providing real world learning opportunities and offer a wide range of apprenticeships in various subjects from Level 2 - 7, in partnership with Buxton and Leek College. We combine academic excellence with practical training and work with leading businesses including Rolls Royce, the NHS and the Institute of Quarrying.

Our apprentices will not only gain a recognised qualification, but the knowledge and experience to improve business services and make a positive impact in our region.

National Apprenticeship Week

Every year we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week by inviting high-profile employers onto campus to showcase the varied apprenticeship opportunities that are available in our region. This is a fantastic event for anyone interested in apprenticeships to chat face-to-face with businesses about their employment offer and to hear from current apprentices about their own experiences. Watch our short video from our 2023 event for an exciting glimpse of what's in store.
