Halls of residence

Our University accommodation, run by the Student Living team is a real home from home, providing excellent customer service from a landlord you can trust. The ethos at University residences in Derby is totally focused around the wellbeing and needs of students. Our professional team are highly skilled and experienced in dealing with a broad range of issues which residents may face and are on hand to provide support and guidance.

The health and happiness of our students is paramount. We believe that students need a comfortable, safe and happy living environment so they can study effectively and maximise their opportunities at University. Our residences, our award-winning service and our caring, friendly and professional staff provide a firm foundation for students to thrive and succeed. 

In addition, the Residence Life Programme includes a range of free and subsidised activities and events exclusively for our residents, enabling students to meet and socialise with their peers across the whole halls community.

Undergraduate students

Halls are the ideal place for you to live during your time at University and most first-year students live in halls. Our halls are just a short walk from our campuses and are a great place to make friends and settle into University life. They offer you safe, good-value accommodation in convenient locations and the good news is that you can live in halls throughout your studies if you want to.

Postgraduate students 

Our bespoke postgraduate accommodation is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just minutes away from the main University site.  It's the ideal setting for you to focus on your studies in a comfortable and convenient environment. Find out more about our postgraduate accommodation.

International students

Every year, our halls community welcomes students from all corners of the globe with a free bed, kitchen and arrival pack. Our staff are super friendly and helpful and will make it their mission to help you settle into your new surroundings.
