David is a postgraduate research student within the College of Business, Law, and Social Science and is researching the perceptions, expectations, and actions of multiple stakeholders contributing to the UK’s “Net Zero by 2050” policy agenda.

As a Lecturer in Policing Catherine Edwards is involved in the teaching and assessment on the Professional Policing and Policing and Investigations courses. Catherine has 13 years experience as a Police Officer with Nottinghamshire Police and enjoys sharing her knowledge and real life experiences with students.

Senior Lecturer in Law

Dr Eghosa Ekhator is a Senior Lecturer in Law. He joined the University of Derby in September 2019 from the University of Chester, where he taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His primary areas of research are International Environmental Law (especially Environmental Justice issues in developing countries and the African Union) and Natural Resources Governance.

Joseph Eyong
Programme Lead Help to Grow Programme (H2GM) Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy

Joseph Eyong is the Programme Leader for the Help to Grow Management Programme (H2GP) at the University of Derby. His areas of teaching expertise are Leadership, Strategy and Research Methods, on which he has led teaching, developed curricula and initiated degree programmes at undergraduate, and postgraduate levels and for senior apprenticeships.

Dr Dolapo Fakuade leads MSc Intelligence, Security and Disaster Management at the School of Law and Social Sciences. She brings international perspectives from teaching, research and practice garnered from working in different countries.

Robyn is a lecturer in Criminology at the University of Derby. Robyn is keen to support students, during lectures, seminars and PAT sessions with a focus on collaboration. Robyn has recently submitted her doctoral research on families lived experiences of Universal Credit    

Mark Flint-Freel
Lecturer in Criminology

Mark is a former police officer, having served for 30 years in both the Metropolitan Police and Derbyshire Constabulary. His worked included close protection, self-defence and physical training, firearms and public order. He completed his service as head of Special Constables training and went on to develop the Specials training programme for the College of Policing.
