She has undertaken research for numerous organisations including the British Academy, the Home Office, both in London and regionally in Nottingham, the National Police Training Units at Bramshill and Easingwold, the Prime Ministers Delivery Unit, and the European Commission.

Ghulam is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Derby with experience in economic growth modelling and financial economics. He has extensive teaching experience, gained from teaching a range of subjects in economics and quantitative skills at the Queen Mary University of London, Middlesex University and prestigious universities in Pakistan.

He has earned his PhD from the University of Derby, UK; an Executive MBA from Preston University; and an MBA from American University of Central Asia and is now pursing his PhD with focus on Circular Economy. As a growing researcher, he has published in scientific journals, international conferences and a book chapter.

Prior to this, he worked at Canterbury Christchurch University (Reader in International Commercial law) and the University of Bedfordshire (Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Law).
