About

I am a Lecturer in Policing having previously spent 13 years working as a Police Officer for Nottinghamshire Police. As a Police Officer, I spent the majority of my career on the front line response policing and on the knife crime team. I was promoted to Sgt and then spent time in the Prisoner Handling Team, Custody and Bail Management.

Prior to Policing I designed and delivered training and teaching materials for a number of companies including a stint in Japan teaching English.

Teaching responsibilities

I currently teach on the Professional Policing degree, Policing and Investigations degree and help facilitate the DHEP programme.

Professional interests

My professional interests are Police Education and Training, in particular how virtual reality can be incorporated.

Qualifications

Additional interests and activities

I am a keen paddleboarder and golfer, by no means professional but I like to have fun and give it a go.
