Martyn Kendrick is Deputy Dean of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences. His main teaching, consultancy, and research interests are in Strategic Management, Leadership, Risk Management, CSR, and Work-Based Learning. Martyn has extensive experience and expertise of international education and currently holds a Visiting Professorship at Liaoning University, China.

Joel is currently the Programme Leader for the Undergraduate LL.B Law Programmes. His areas of interest include Commercial Law, International Trade and International Economic Law. He has a further interest in ensuring that the Law School engages with the local community and thereby contributes and subscribes to values of Social Justice for the benefit of the local community.

Nagin Lad is the Professional Programmes Lead and in charge of the ACCA Programme. Prior to joining the University he ran his own accountancy practice and has been teaching since 1996 both in the UK and overseas. He was nominated by his students and won the PQ Magazine Public Sector Lecturer of the Year award in 2017.

Alison Lawson
Head of Discipline of Marketing and Operations

Alison is Head of the Discipline of Marketing and Operations in Derby Business School, working with a team of expert lecturers across marketing, logistics, supply chain, purchasing and information technology management. Alison supervises PhDs in marketing and publishing and contributes to teaching in these areas. Prior to joining the University in 2010, she worked in publishing.

Sung-Hee Lee
Lecturer in Sociology and Social Policy

Dr Sung-Hee Lee has developed broad understanding in sociology and social policy, mainly focused on care and gender issues within the context of comparative study between Europe and East Asia. She is currently expanding this research agenda into a comparative study covering other East Asian countries such as Japan, Taiwan and China.
