Senior Lecturer in Business and Management, Dr Valentina Gorchakova, returned to academia after a number of years working in business, including running a start-up company in marketing and events, and for the UN Development Programme. Valentina joined the University of Derby Online Learning in 2017 and became a Programme Leader of the BSc (Hons) in Business and Management in 2018.

Dr Elnerine Greeff lectures within the University of Derby's Business School, where she specialises in Marketing - both as her academic field and in support of businesses through various outreach programmes of the University. 

Leanne Hampson teaches on the events specific modules integrated with the University's Events Management programmes. Leanne is also the Student Engagement Lead and undertakes personal tutor duties within the department.

Charles is the programme leader for MSc Marketing Management. He is an award-winning lecturer with a passion for inspiring students to achieve. He has research interests in discovering deep customer value through using a visual research methodology and is currently interested in exploring the future of the high street.

Colin Hanson-New is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Derby and is Module Leader for several modules on the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) programme. Colin's main area of interest is in the use of Artificial Intelligence and how it can be applied in the fields of Logistics and Supply Chain.

Phil has worked at the University for eight years teaching within the hospitality and culinary team. Phil works as a Senior Lecturer for Hospitality, Culinary and Events. 

Christine Harrop-Griffiths is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader on the BA (Hons) Business Management programmes. Her passion is in enhancing the student experience to develop employable and caring individuals, and seeing students realise their potential and go on to achieve success they never thought possible.

Dr Mehdi Hasan is a Senior Lecturer in the discipline of Economics and Finance. He is the Programme Leader for the International Business Management. Currently, he leads a number of Economics and International Business modules at various levels. His research interests include, but are not limited to various aspects of third-sector and emerging economies. 

Elizabeth Haysom is the programme leader of the LLM Legal Practice Course here at the University of Derby. Elizabeth bring over 30 years experience as a qualified solicitor working in both large to small practice.
