Phil also works on the BA (Hons) Sociology and MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice programmes. Phil is engaged in social science research into disaster management and national security settings.

Along with teaching, she is actively involved in research. Her recent work is in the area of sustainable supply chains and circular economy.

She also provides academic advice and pastoral support to students.  Rachael is also a Lecturer in law, with teaching responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Derby Law School.

Francis Jegede is an Associate Professor and Chair of the College Research Committee. He works with colleagues across the College and University to support and enhance postgraduate students' research experience.  He teaches several  modules in IR. His current research interests include diplomacy, conflict resolution, negotiations, terrorism and political economy of violence.
