Programme Leader - ITMB (IT Management for Business) Lecturer in Marketing and Operations Management

Amir is the Programme Leader for BSc Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) and leads several ITMB modules mostly related to the application, development and implementation of suitable IT solutions for business improvements. Amir is also a Lecturer in Marketing and Operations Management and supervises DBA and MBA dissertation students.

Vee Monro is a part-time lecturer teaching Criminal Law and Miscarriage of Justice. She is a practicing Criminal Lawyer sitting as a Deputy District Judge in the Magistrates’ Court. Vee was a former Crown Advocate working with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), prosecuting in the Crown Court and Magistrates’ Court.

Rob Moon
Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

Rob Moon is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. Rob was a design engineer with over 20 years’ experience within the global manufacturing industry, and has lectured extensively in Southern Africa, Europe and Bangladesh. Current research focusses on embedding work-related learning in the curriculum.

Professor of Applied Criminology

Kate specialises in applied research, project management and income generation. She has undertaken research for numerous organisations including the Home Office, both in London and regionally in Nottingham, the National Police Training Units at Bramshill and Easingwold, the Prime Ministers Delivery Unit, and the European Commission.

Ghulam Mustafa
Lecturer in Economics

Ghulam is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Derby with experience in economic growth modelling and labour economics, predominantly working with secondary data. He has extensive teaching experience, gained from teaching a range of subjects in Economics and Quantitative Skills at Queen Mary University of London, Middlesex University and prestigious universities in Pakistan.

Simon is a Lecturer at the University of Derby. He has earned his PhD from the University of Derby, UK; an Executive MBA from Preston University; and an MBA from American University of Central Asia and is now pursing his PhD with focus on Circular Economy. As a growing researcher, he has published in scientific journals, international conferences and a book chapter.

Jayne is a third year tutor for the ML95 BSc (Hons) in Criminology programme. She teaches research methods/study skills modules at levels 4 and 5. She is also the module leader for Cybercrime at level 6 along with supervising UG and PG dissertation projects.

Professor of Global Political Economy and Head of the Centre for Social, Cultural and Legal Research

I am Director of the Social, Cultural and Legal Research Centre. I am responsible for REF Unit 20 (Social Policy and Social Work) and I have a number of University-wide roles, such as being a member of the central REF steering group and an elected member of the University Professorial Council.

Professor Kamil Omoteso is Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences, comprising Derby Business School, School of Law and Social Sciences and Centre for Contemporary Hospitality and Tourism. He is passionate about student experience, graduate employability and innovation, and keen to build a sustainable research culture and enhance business engagement.
