Event date: Friday, 24 February 2017 at 8.30 AM
Running until: Friday, 24 February 2017 at 11.30 AM

Darryl Eales is the owner of a number of businesses, including Debrett's, Oxford United Football Club and Alycidon Capital. He also serves as a non executive on several boards which support entrepreneurialism, education and community development.

Growing up in Birmingham as the son of parents who were grocers, Darryl soon understood what it took to manage a business. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at Exeter University, he followed his passion for supporting businesses and joined a private equity investor, LDC, where he became Chief Executive in 2003. During his 11 year tenure with LDC, he grew this to become the UK leader in mid market private equity, and also established the 'LDC in the Community Initiative', which raised more the £2.5 million for UK, regional and international charites.

Working in other roles through his career, football was always a keen passion for Darryl, and he completed his move from finance to football by becoming the owner of Oxford United Football Club. During his ownership, he has played a key role in leading the club into League 1 of the English Football League.

Darrly is keen to share his knowledge and wisdom and this guest lecture will provide a great understanding into how to be successful in both business and sport management.
