About the session

Communication and breaking bad news are some of the most difficult aspects to learn in obstetrics. This study day features several presentations from professionals involved with different stages of the pregnancy journey (including CMW, EPA nurse, fetal medicine consultant, and the bereavement midwife).

Many sonographers do not get the opportunity to interact with these professionals in a clinical setting, however, they can provide valuable insight into the role of the sonographer, particularly focusing on the communication patients receive at different stages and how the information given by sonographers can impact the patient experience.

Students and experienced sonographers are welcome.
