About Flamsteed Court

Flamsteed Court is on the doorstep of the main Kedleston Road site, and is conveniently close to the main library, Students Union, sports centre and bus stop for other campus buildings, the city centre and railway station. This self-catering hall is our only accommodation specifically allocated for postgraduate and mature students, offering a quieter atmosphere and more independent living for residents.

Most flats are for two students sharing a kitchen and open plan social space, with two separate ensuite double bedrooms. Bedrooms have a double bed, storage and a desk and chair. The rooms have their own adjoining bath/shower room.

All rooms have WiFi internet access but no wired internet. Residents are responsible for keeping their accommodation clean and tidy and a hoover and other cleaning implements are provided for this purpose. 

All the kitchens contain:

• washer/dryer
• cooker
• fridge freezer
• microwave
• kettle
• toaster
• sink
• drainer
• cupboards and worktops
• dining table and four chairs.

The living space also contains a large (licence-paid) TV, sofa, a coffee table and a bookcase.

All students can use the Unibus service to travel between sites, to Derby city centre and to the train station.
