Dancing with Shadows - Research Seminar

The University of Derby's Creative Ageing Research Cluster invite you to attend a seminar on 'Dancing with Shadows: Choreo-cartography as mode of method of embodied memory' with Dr Beatrice Jarvis (Kingston University).

This seminar focuses on the process, outcomes and reflections of a workshop series carried out with 15 women all over the age of 75 who reflected on the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the Russian occupation of Berlin from 1949 to 1989. This workshop series was an intimate one and took place in the participants' homes, allowing space for sensitive reflection of often personally harrowing histories. These case studies were individualised and explored personal embodiment of the body as an archive.

Tickets for this seminar are FREE but booking is essential. Please click on the Eventbrite link to register;
