Having trained vocationally at Arts Educational School, Laban and Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Elizabeth has accrued over 25 years experience as a professional dancer and dance educator.

Dawn Fox is a technical Instructor for Education and a Forest School Practitioner. Her role includes working across all areas of Education. She creates opportunities to help enhance student experience including forest school sessions and outdoor education.

As a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Education, James Frost supports new members of staff at the University in attaining professional awards associated with teaching and learning in the sector. Additionally, James is also the mathematics pathway leader on the MA Education programme.

As a lecturer in Initial Teacher Education, Paul Glossop utilises his extensive experience in teaching, learning and educational leadership to develop and support trainee teachers. He teaches on a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes.

Senior Lecturer in History; Programme Leader for MA History

Dr Oliver Godsmark is Senior Lecturer in History with an interest in colonialism, South Asia and India’s partition. His research focuses on citizenship and democracy, caste and tribe, and the South Asian diaspora. Experienced in public-facing history, he teaches across the undergraduate History programme, and is the programme leader for MA History.

Programme Leader BA (Hons) Theatre Arts

After studying for a BA (Hons) Performing Arts Phil worked in the industry in theatre, television and radio.  He moved into teaching in Further and Higher Education on completion of his MA Theatre. He has extensive experience as an external examiner.  He continues to produce work as a solo performer.
