I am a writer and researcher. At the University of Derby, I am Professor of Writing and Folklore. As a writer, I work across fiction and non-fiction, often in collaboration with artists and designers in the creation and publication of books, pamphlets and other things. As a folklorist, I am interested in indigeneity and nationalism.
