Your Guide to
Open Days

A University of Derby Open Day is different. It’s a day designed to work at your pace, with the freedom to explore your subject and our campus in the way that works best for you. Flexible subject talks means no pressure, no need to rush from one thing to the next. This guide will help you make the most of it.

Plan your day

Getting here

Derby is ideally located in the heart of the UK, with great transport links. Our Kedleston Road site, DE22 1GB, is located just outside the city centre and has free parking for our Open Day visitors.

If you're travelling by train, we have a shuttle bus service from the station to our campus. Look out for our staff at the Pride Park exit who will direct you to the bus.

After your visit

If you've come along to one of our Open Days and know which course you would like to apply for, learn more about applying.

We can also help you create your UCAS personal statement for your university application. Use our personal statement writer to put together a draft of what you want to say. Our tool guides you through the process, providing tips on what to write. Once complete, we'll send you a draft of your personal statement to your email address.

If you'd like to visit us again, book a campus tour. Our 2-hour tours run every month and you'll get the opportunity to look around our campus again and chat with our students.

It was good to see the campus in person. The staff and students were very open to questions and very helpful in their answers
