Returning students

Welcome back to our returning students! We want to let you know key information about your return. We'll be providing regular updates, so make sure you check your Unimail account, Student News (login required) and follow @Derbyunistudent on InstagramFacebook and Twitter.

Please remember to enrol and log in with your existing UDo password before you start. You'll need to enrol online each academic year and, where required, select your modules. Your timetable will be available shortly so please look out for this on UDo.

If you need any help with online enrolment, you can view our enrolment FAQs or contact us using our enquiry form and a member of the team will be in touch.

If you have any problems logging in, we recommend clearing your cookies and cache or trying on a private browser. You can contact us using the enquiry form below if you need help.

As a reminder of all the fabulous services and support on offer, you're invited to take part in your University Induction. You can access this via UDo, on the Blackboard (Course Resources) tile. Your University Induction is a series of modules to help with your return. It will offer a range of useful topics, providing easy to access information about:

Welcome Heroes

There’ll be student Welcome Heroes (in bright pink tops) around the University sites during the first few weeks of term. They’re there to help new and returning students find their way around and assist with any queries. Be sure to say hi and ask for help if you need it!

If you’re interested in working as a Welcome Hero yourself in the future (we have Welcome periods in January, March, and September), sign up to the Student Employment Agency (SEA) and keep an eye out for the job adverts. We’d love to work with you!

Welcome and Freshers'

Did you know that Welcome and Freshers activities are for returning students too? The University and Union of Students are busy organising a schedule of activities and events you can get involved in. Be sure to check your Unimail for details.

Supporting you

There is a lot of support on offer to help you settle back into your studies, both on-campus and virtually, via your Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) and your Personal College Advisor (PCA). Your College also has a dedicated College Student Centre where you can get advice and guidance on many aspects of student life, including assignment hand-ins.

If you feel you need additional support and would like to talk to someone, our Student Services Wellbeing Team have friendly and approachable advisors that can provide guidance to coordinate the right support for you.

Library skills support

Throughout Welcome, the Library Skills team will be offering tours of the Library and online workshops to support you in accessing reading lists, skills guides, and the Library website.
