Your first weeks

Your first couple of weeks are known as Welcome – your introduction to life at the University of Derby. There’ll be lots going on and a few things that you’ll need to do to start your journey with us.

What's enrolment and how do I do it?

You’ll be sent an email inviting you to do your online enrolment before you arrive. Once you’ve done this and your University Induction, you’ll receive an email confirming you’ve been registered as a student. Then you just need to bring your proof of identity to come and get your student ID card.

What events and activities are there?

There's lots of exciting events and activities planned to help you settle into life at Derby, including the Freshers’ Fair and your programme induction to introduce you to your course.

When will I get my timetable?

You’ll receive your personal timetable in UDo, two working days after you’ve enrolled. You’ll find your classes in there, as well as times and dates for your programme induction activities, so keep checking it to know when you need to start.
