Electrical and Electronic Engineering staff

Richard is Technical Team Leader based at the Markeaton Street campus. He has operational responsibility for technical services and research across the College of Science and Engineering. He has worked as a technician for over 20 years with experience of working in different subject and discipline areas.

Dr. Amar Bousbaine is an experienced senior Electrical and Electronic Engineering academic and active researcher in the fields of automotive electrical power system for Electrical Vehicles (EVs), renewable energy sources, Hydrogen fuel cells, and autonomous control of drones.

Dr. Uchenna Diala is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in the School of Engineering, at the University of Derby. He currently leads and teaches the following modules: Engineering Applications and Professional Development, Engineering Workshop, Renewable and Smart Energy Systems, Electronic Communication Systems, and Control Systems and Electrical Machines.

Mark is a lecturer on the Sound, Light and Live Event Technology Degree and also on the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.

Adam is an Associate Professor of Electroacoustics. He is programme leader on our MSc Audio Engineering. His research focuses on analysis, modelling, and wide-area spatiotemporal control of low-frequency sound reproduction and reinforcement.

Yagna is a Postgraduate Research Student within the College of Science and Engineering. Her research looks at artificial intelligence, robotics technology and industrial automation.

Sabuj Mallik is the Head of Discipline of Engineering at the University of Derby. He is also an active researcher with research expertise in engineering materials, manufacturing and reliability engineering.

Oliver Ozioko is a lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Derby, with over seven years of research experience. Oliver's research interests focus on smart sensors and intelligent systems, electronic skin, haptics, smart 3D printed objects as well as self-powered wearable and portable systems.

University Reader in Intelligent Mechatronics Systems
