Britannia Mill

Britannia Mill is a restored former textile mill with specialist facilities for screen printing, dance, and our fine art courses, as well as for creative expressive therapies and social care. Britannia Mill is just a few minutes’ walk from Markeaton Street.

We have a range of facilities on site including:

There is a ramp and step free access to our main entrance at Britannia Mill which leads into the Lobby and the Union Living Space (social area for students to chill and study). 

The site is split into Lower Ground, Ground, First, Second, Third and Fourth Floor. Lifts and accessible toilets are available on every floor. Gender neutral toilets are on the Lower Ground Floor.

Study areas can be found in the Library and the Union Living Space. 

On the Lower Ground Floor, you will find the Union Living Space, Union Society Space, Union Advice Office, and the Music Studio. 
Please be aware of our procedures. If you hear a continuous alarm, please make your way out of the building via the nearest fire exit.
