Public Services is one of our six research themes. Our research in this area brings together the disciplines of education; psychology, wellbeing, and therapeutics; nursing, health, allied health professions and social care; and criminal justice and policing. 

Why this research matters 

Our research on public services matters. This is because services paid for from the public purse like health care, education, criminal justice and policing, make an important contribution to ensuring people get what they need, and thrive as a consequence.

Professor Deborah Robinson
Professor of Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion

Deborah Robinson is a Professor of SEND and Inclusion in the Institute of Education and Theme Lead for Public Services. Her current research explores inclusive school improvement and related theories of leadership.
