Will Kitchen

From a young age, I knew that I have always wanted to work on games. I found my passions in the worlds I used to explore uncovering secrets and learning about the game’s story. I got into art heavily and started designing video game ideas and designs for new worlds and creatures. After I enrolled on BA (Hons) Computer Games Modelling and Animation (CGMA), my goal from the start was environments and I poured all my efforts into it.

I’m heavily into stylised work but that did not stop me from experimenting with different styles. I practiced constantly, seeking feedback from both my lecturers and peers, and pushed to become stronger with each piece of work. I like to work in programs such as Zbrush and Blender and love to texture in Substance Painter. All these skills were learned through the University’s many modules on the CGMA course. I am heavily influenced by pirates due to both Pirates of the Caribbean and Sea of Thieves!

I want to work on my style of work alongside working as an Environment Artist, building exciting worlds for like-minded gamers and keeping games unique and enjoyable.
