University of Derby will be delivering the below workshop, to local organisations, in partnership with Rolls Royce, Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC) and UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), providing information around the nuclear industry. Working in the Nuclear Industry - Advanced Manufacturing & Nuclear Challenge Opportunities

Thursday 28 November 9.30am - 3.00pm (tbc)

Location: Enterprise Centre, Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3LD

This workshop will be delivered using a variety of presentations and speakers from University of Derby, Rolls Royce, NAMRC and UKAEA, with a maximum of 40 individuals able to attend due to room size and catering. The bookings for this workshop will be on a first come first served basis due to expected demand.

The agenda for the workshop is set to be finalised shortly, and will be sent out to any individuals added to the register, or who have expressed an interest in attending (depending on availability) but will be centred around the below topics:

• 09:30-10:00   Networking and Refreshments

• Session 1 Presentations – The Nuclear Landscape, Skills Demand in the Sector, Digital Engineering Tools

• Session 2 Presentations – Capability of Nuclear Plant Applications, How to Win Work in Nuclear, Human Factors and Ergonomics

• Networking and lunch (provided for attendees of the event)

• Session 3 Presentations - Safety in the Workplace, final presentation from UKAEA

The final agenda will be completed in due course and sent out to all interested individuals.
