Reducing COVID-19 Risks

What we are doing to reduce Covid-19 risk

To keep everybody safe and ensure we comply with legal, regulatory, professional, health and safety and insurance requirements, we have implemented a number of changes to our sports therapy practices.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn by all clinicians at face-to-face appointments – including masks and aprons
  • Reorganisation of the clinic environment to ensure adequate spacing, as well as use of protective screens
  • Enhanced cleaning of the clinical environment and rehab equipment, including use of disinfectant wipes on all hard surfaces between each appointment
  • Adjusted appointment scheduling to reduce the volume of people in the clinic at any one time and to allow for cleaning time between appointments
  • Moving to a paperless system in the clinic

Anyone attending for a face-to-face appointment must be able to make an informed consent to attend the clinic in person, including being aware that Covid-19 is still present in the wider community and that despite all measures we take, we cannot guarantee there is no risk of transmission.
