Office for Students registration

The Office for Students (OfS) is the regulator of English higher education. The University of Derby is listed as a registered provider on the OfS Register of English higher education providers.

Being registered means we've demonstrated to the OfS that the University of Derby:

Student Protection Plan

All higher education institutions registered with the Office for Students are required to publish a Student Protection Plan setting out what students can expect to happen should a course, campus or institution close.

Access and Participation Plan

Access and Participation Plans are renewed and formally approved each year by the OfS.

Our Access and Participation plan 2020 - 21 to 2024 - 25  has recieved approval from the Office for Students. It outlines how we seek to improve equality of opportunity in higher education. Our plan defines how we help disadvantaged students to access higher education, achieve success during their time here, and progress to employment or further study.

Our Access and Participation Plan 2019 - 20 applies to students starting in academic year 2019-20.
