Accessing the login page

You can login to the student portal, UDo from any page of the University website by clicking the link in the footer.

Enter your username (Student ID) and your password to login.

Please note: If you have outstanding debt on your account, you may be blocked from accessing course resources. If you need to make a payment, please contact the Sales Ledger team by emailing salesledger@derby.ac.uk or by calling +44 (0)1332 611841. They are available 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Thursday, 9.00am-4.30pm Friday (GMT).

How to clear your browser cache

Many issues experienced by students can be resolved by clearing the browser settings. We therefore recommend following this guidance on clearing your cache and cookies.

Please note: work devices may be blocked by company policy and will need to investigated by your on-site IT Team.

Using a different web browser

You may wish to try using a different web browser to access your studies. Usually the university recommends 'Google Chrome', however Firefox or Internet Explorer can also be used.

Using a different device

Another option to consider is trying a different device; so for example if you are trying to access your account via a smartphone or tablet, we would recommend trying a desktop computer or laptop.

The University usually recommends students complete the majority of their studies on a computer/laptop, and that smart devices can be used to compliment a student’s learning.

Password Reset

To reset your password, please go to https://passwordreset.derby.ac.uk.

Enter your username as <yourstudentnumber>@unimail.derby.ac.uk, eg 12345678@unimail.derby.ac.uk
Confirm the code and click next
Select Forgot my password and choose and option to receive your verification code – see following link: https://itservicecentre.derby.ac.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115005175009-Self-Service-Password-Reset-SSPR-

If are unable to reset your password using the above link – please contact IT Services Helpdesk.

How to expand your module menu

The left hand ‘Module Menu Panel’ will sometimes minimise automatically to help ensure you are able to view the main content of the page easily.

If this happens when you are logged into a module you will need to re-expand this by clicking on the blue column on the left hand side of the screen (as shown below):

You can then click on the arrow to Show Module Menu (as shown below):

The menu will then appear on the left hand side of the screen (please note the menu options will vary from module to module):
