Get Active events

Throughout the academic year we host various Get Active events to foster community and wellbeing, including the Santa Walk and Run and Spirit in Sport.

Main events

Throughout the year we run events that students and staff can get involved in. They are social and informal, and a great way to meet - and make - new friends, have fun and get active.

This Derby Girl Can

This Derby Girl Can celebrates active women across our university community. TDGC encourages and supports females students and staff (and those identifying as female) to be active in a welcoming environment and just "do their thing" no matter how they look or good they are.

This Derby Girl Can Stories to Inspire You

In support of our "This Derby Girl Can" campaign, we've reached out to female students and staff, just like you, to get their story on how they get active in a way that works for them. Have a look and take some inspiration from our amazing community.
