What to expect

Our Open Day is designed to give Year 12 and 13 students a comprehensive understanding of what we offer at the University of Derby, from our state-of-the-art facilities to our diverse range of courses. Our experienced academics and current students will be on hand to provide valuable insights and answer any questions you or your students may have.

There's lots for you to discover at an Open Day and your students can plan their day however they choose; here's an idea of what you can expect:

• Talks from our main stage at Kedleston Road
• Explore our campus – your students can explore Kedleston Road, discover our amazing library, and state-of-the-art Sports Centre; drop in to our subject taster sessions, where they can talk to teaching staff about their course of interest; and explore the facilities they’ll be using as a student 
• You and your students can join our students on a guided campus tour, and find out first-hand what it’s like to study at Derby
• Take a tour of our award-winning accommodation. We are proud to have been recognised by our students as winner of Best University Housing (UK & Ireland) and Best Moving In Experience (UK & Ireland) in the Global Student Living Index awards 2022
• Chat to our support services to ask any questions they have about applying, funding, and wellbeing
