Steve works as an artist and an art historian. His research focuses on contemporary artists’ engagement with the more-than-human world, and on the distinctive contribution made by artists to the growing interdisciplinary field of animal studies.

Victoria is a researcher exploring the concept of a creative ecosystem as a better means of understanding and supporting the creative sector’s work and values. In the main this draws from cultural policy and creative entrepreneurship but also references economic geography. Victoria also supports and investigates research impact across the Arts and Humanities.
