Frequently Asked Questions about short courses

Our professional development short courses are delivered through an online learning platform. To register and enrol onto a short course, you will be redirected to a page on the platform where terms, conditions and further course information is also available.

If enrolment is not open, you will be able to register your interest for future course dates.

100% online study means that you can study from any location via any device with internet access. You are not required to attend University campus to study this course.

Each course has a set number of units and recommended learning time. Please check the course page for details.

These are 100% online. On our Tutor-led courses, the course tutor will interact with learners via the discussion boards and forums and will conclude each unit with an end of unit video summarising the key themes covered and discussed. Our Learner-led and Compliance Training courses are self-guided rather than tutored courses.

You can study as much or as little of the course as you choose and you are not obliged to complete the full course. You will gain a digital badge for each unit completed and an e-Certificate will only be available upon completion of the full course.

You will need access to the internet whether it is on your PC, tablet, mobile phone or other electronic device, as well as a valid email address to register with the online learning platform in order to take part in the course.
