Asian-Anglo lecture series

– between vocational and higher education.

Jointly organised by Bill Esmond, Po Yang, Jun Li and Johannes Karl Schmees

About the events

Across the world, educational pathways are evolving—creating new opportunities but also new tensions. Institutions that sit between vocational and higher education promise greater access and economic mobility, yet they also face resource constraints and complex structural challenges. How do these 'hybrid' institutions shape students' futures? Does permeability between vocational and higher education make learning more accessible or simply reinforce divisions? These issues will be explored from a comparative perspective, encompassing both English-speaking and Asian countries.

Join leading experts as we explore the shifting boundaries between vocational and higher education.
