Impact

The Centre for Business Improvement within the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences, supports organisations in their goal to improve and maintain strong business performance through applied multi-disciplinary research. Our work has been widely published and the exchange of knowledge between the Centre and regional, national and international organisations has led to real improvements and impact within the business community.

The Centre is led by Professor Carley Foster and its work draws upon the academic expertise of staff predominately in Derby Business School and includes internationally recognised researchers, doctoral students and visiting scholars. We specialise in four areas of applied research:

We can support all types of organisations who are looking for advice and support in these areas. This includes commissioned research, consultancy, training, student projects and other knowledge exchange activity. We also welcome doctoral applications in the research areas listed above.
