Our Masters in Forensic Science allows you to advance your scientific analysis skills and apply these to a forensic science context, as well as develop knowledge in a specialist area and undertake research on a topic of interest. 

  • Expert teaching team: Learn and work alongside academics with a real passion for the subject, active researchers and members of professional bodies recognised within the industry, regularly presenting at scientific conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
  • State-of-the-art facilities: Conduct your research in field sites and a range of specialised laboratories such as an imaging laboratory, a molecular laboratory and a dedicated microbiology laboratory, as well as an insectary with adjoining entomology laboratory, an analytical suite housing GCMS, SEM, HPLC, and a UV Vis spectrophotometer
  • Tailor your degree: Take advantage of multiple specialist areas in which you could develop your skills and knowledge. You will carry out a research project focusing on a specific area such as forensic anthropology, entomology, microbiology, photography and imaging, wildlife forensics, drugs of abuse and chemical analysis, ballistics, fingerprint analysis or single molecule explosive detection systems
  • A bridge to take you further: Use your scientific knowledge in practical ways, working closely with our expert lecturers to undertake research and gain insight into industry to enhance your career prospects
