Study patterns: Perioperative Practice (Top-Up) BSc (Hons) (online)

On this page, you will find the study patterns for our BSc (Hons) Perioperative Practice (Top-Up) (online) programme.

This study pattern highlights the module(s) that you will need to study and select for the upcoming academic year. The scheduled modules for the remainder of your programme, outlined below, are based on the current plan, however, please note that the order of these may be subject to change. Should any changes be made, we will communicate this to you as soon as possible. Should you have any concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us on +44 (0)1332 594000 (option 4) or UDOLenrolment@derby.ac.uk.

For our students completing the programme at the standard rate of study, we recommend that you study 20 hours per week. For our students completing the programme at the accelerated rate of study, we recommend that you study 40 hours per week.

As part of your studies, you will need to complete the module ‘Developing Competence and Capability (6NU551)’ which can be taken in the Summer trimester of either Year 1 or Year 2. As part of this module you will need to “attend” a virtual conference, this is a one-day event that uses Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. There is no cost for the conference and you will be asked to undertake a small amount of pre-event reading (journal articles, online material, perhaps watch a short video) and on the day use technology to join the conference.
