Centre for Contemporary Hospitality and Tourism Fieldtrips

All of our students have the opportunity to experience field trips as an integral part of their studies. Previous destinations have included Budapest, Florence and Lisbon, and you’ll also get to visit places across the UK.

Budapest

Our Professional Culinary Arts and Culinary Management students have visited Budapest and, through visiting various restaurants, markets and food halls, students were able to gain an understanding of the cultural significance of food in the country and the role it plays in society. Students were also able to research which restaurants are popular and learn about the famous chefs of Hungary, as well as any ethical, moral or religious beliefs that impact on the food offer which forms part of the hospitality in the country.
