I’ve completed the fast track to Clearing form but have not received a telephone call from the University of Derby. What should I do?

Please allow 72 hours for us to process your registration and get in touch with you. If you haven’t heard from us after this time please call us on +44 (0)1332 592018. We’re open 9am-9pm Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.

I’ve completed the fast track to Clearing form. Should I apply for my course through UCAS now?

We advise you to wait until we’ve called you to discuss all the options with you before applying via UCAS. If you have not heard back from us and are worried about it being too late to apply, please contact us on +44 (0)1332 592018.

I’ve registered for fast track to Clearing and had a conditional offer. When will I receive confirmation of my place?

We will contact you on Thursday 16 August (A-level results day) between 6.30am and 8pm. We understand it’s an anxious time, but please be patient. If you have any concerns about your place, please call us on +44 (0)1332 592018.

The course I want to study is not available through the fast track to Clearing registration form, what does this mean?

Not all of our courses have been made available through the fast track to Clearing registration process, please check our website which will show the most up-to-date courses available for Clearing applications.

I’ve been offered a place through Clearing. When will I receive a confirmation email?

We will send you a confirmation email on the day we make you an offer. Please check your spam folders! If you haven’t heard from us by the following morning, call us on +44 (0)1332 591167.

I’ve applied through Clearing on UCAS but have heard nothing. What should I do?

Log into UCAS Track and check that you have added the course and institution details to your Clearing application. Some updates occur overnight, so please allow 24 hours for your application to be processed.

I’m worried about not making the conditions of my fast track offer?

We may have made you an aspirational offer based on the merits of your application and made the offer based on our standard entry criteria. If you have referred yourself after receiving a provisional offer and you do not meet the conditions of your offer, or miss a grade, we will re-assess your application in full on results day. We examine your application with the programme team in the same conditions of Clearing to see if we can still accept you on the course. If not, we will always look to see if we can offer a suitable alternative. Therefore, you do not need to apply again through Clearing if you do not meet the condition of your offer.

Is there an Open Day for Clearing applicants?

Yes, we will have Clearing Open Days across our campuses in mid-August. View the dates and book your place
