I am Subject Leader for BA (Hons) Sport and Exercise Studies (Joint Honours Scheme); Quality Lead for Sport, Outdoor and Exercise Science; Partnership Lead School of Human Sciences; Module Leaderx4; Personal Academic Tutor, Indpendent Studies Supervisor;

Teaching responsibilities

I am module leader for the following modules: Introduction to Sport Management, Advanced Sport Management in Practice 1, Advanced Sport Management in Practice 2, Contemporary Issues in Sport Management and Development, Independent Studies in Sport and Exercise (project supervision). 

Professional interests

I am interested in the delivery of realworld learning modules and assessments (e.g. Advanced Sport Management in Practice 1; Contemporary Issues in Sport Management and Development); excellence in the delivery of personal academic tutoring (e.g. showcasing best practice at University of Derby Learning Lunch); supporting students on combined subject degree programmes (e.g. Joint Honours programmes); working in collaboration with partner colleges (e.g. Partnership Lead role); delivering high quality undergraduate programmes (e.g. Quality Lead role);

Research interests

Approaches to Learning, Teaching and Assessment in Sport, Outdoor and Exercise Sciences, the College of Life and Natural Sciences, the University of Derby and across the Higher Education sector.

Membership of professional bodies

Within previous roles I have been a member of the Institute for Sport and Recreation Management; Secretary of the East Midlands Region of the Institute for Sport and Recreation Management; Regional Service Award East Midlands Region of the Institute for Sport and Recreation Management (excellence of service to the region); Vice President of East Midlands Region of the Institute for Sport and Recreation Management and Regional Service Award; President of the East Midlands Region of the Institute for Sport and Recreation Management; Conference CPD attendance.
