Volunteering

Is your not-for-profit organisation or charity looking to recruit volunteers? If so, we can help you advertise your roles to thousands of students and graduates, who are often looking for ways to build experience and do something positive for their community.

We encourage volunteering

We actively encourage students and graduates to take part in volunteering, because we recognise that it can help them develop the skills and experience employers are looking for, whilst also making a positive difference in the local community.

We also have a way of formally recognising volunteering through the Futures Award. This award is recorded on the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) which students receive when they graduate, so it can boost their CV and is an added incentive to get involved.

Advertising your opportunities

Whether you need one-off or regular support, you can advertise a volunteer role on our vacancy portal (you need to register for an account the first time). You will need to provide a detailed role description reflecting the task, time, location and length of commitment.

Once it's uploaded to the portal, we will promote your opportunity to students and graduates through:

We can also directly reach out to students and academics on relevant courses.

Once you have found the perfect candidate, we would love to help publicise their involvement with your organisation and celebrate their successes through our different media outlets. This can be a great way of raising awareness about your cause.

If you need to discuss your requirements further, please contact us.
