About

I am a Lecturer in Career Development at the International Centre for Guidance Studies. I mainly teach on the MA Careers Education and Coaching at the University. My research interests focus on the way the internet and especially social media is changing the field of career development. I am concerned with how people undertaking career development activities and careers practitioners are affected by this development and could respond to them.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on the MA Careers Education and Coaching at the University where I take primary responsibility for teaching theory and careers information and technology. I also lead on placement provision for the course as well as observing students practice and conducting tutorials.

Research interests

I am currently involved in research projects related to career professionals' use of digital media, the experiences of recent graduates using social media as part of their career development and how information is used as part of career delivery.

I am an active member of AGCAS, the CDI and the SRHE.
