About

I am currently a full-time PhD student in Finance at the University of Derby. My study aims to establish whether there is a shift from a bank-based to a market-based financial system using trend analysis, pointing out the deregulation of financial policies and change in Foreign financial inflows that highlights the percentage of GDP in emerging economies with Nigeria in view.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Masters of Science degree in International Business and Finance. I am also a Chartered Management Institute Manager (Level 5), with certifications in Management and Leadership, Bloom-berg Market Concept (Stock) Analyst, LinkedIn Learning Financial Analyst, LinkedIn Learning Data Analyst, LinkedIn Learning Project Manager, Leadership in International Business, Leadership in program representation, Leadership Development and soon to be certified by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (in progress).

The Financialisation Of Nigeria Financial Market, Sector And Economy: An Evaluation.

Professional interests

Among other achievements, I was awarded the Program Representative of the year for the College of Business, Law and Social Science, University of Derby in 2019 and hold several social and educational awards. I currently co-ed in representing the student body in the research community at the University of Derby (Postgraduate Research Representative) and Head the student body in my college.

I have attended several seminars and conferences with dignitaries and prominent speakers like Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele (CON), Former Nigeria Minister of Finance Mrs Kemi Adeosun, Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Mr Atedo Peterside, Professor Yuval Milo, a Professor of Accounting at Warwick Business School (United Kingdom) and more.

At the upcoming 2021 Annual Conference organized by the British Accounting and Finance Association which I am also privileged to be a certified member of, I will be presenting my PhD Thesis: “The Financialisation of Nigeria Financial Market, Sector and Economy: An Evaluation”. I have also been invited to present my thesis in the University of Derby postgraduate Virtual Cafe. 

Experience in industry

My expertise in Treasury and Foreign Operations, Accounting and Finance, Administration, Project and Event Corporate Strategist and Humanitarian services lay credence in my ability to deliver on projects in my field. I am also the President of Katy CareGivers Foundation, a charity organization in Nigeria with a mission to help Orphans, Youths, Women, Widows and Downtrodden have an enabling environment through financial and psychological support, to enact entrepreneurship skills and change the perspective of women to the reality of life.
