Qualifications

Experience in industry

I have experience of working with numerous UK government agencies, such as Public Health England and DEFRA. I have also worked on the project WetlandLIFE (funded by the Natural Environment Research Council, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Economic and Social Research Council and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs under the Valuing Nature Programme) as a Research Fellow at Cranfield University. WetlandLIFE was an interdisciplinary multi-university project utilising a range of natural and social science research techniques, as well as approaches from the humanities and the arts, to understand some of these values of wetlands from both a historical and contemporary perspective. My role in the project was to conduct an economic valuation, scenario analysis, risk assessment and economic impact assessment of ecosystem services, for a few selected English wetlands.

International experience

I have experience of working as a researcher in various Indian federal government agencies such as the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development (NISTADS-CSIR), New Delhi and the Indo-French Centre for Promotion of Advanced Research (CEFIPRA), New Delhi.

Additional interests and activities

A trained artist and dancer. I spend most of my free time dabbling in various forms of painting or dancing.

I am also a nature lover and enjoy my days off by going for a bike ride in the countryside.
