I am a Lecturer for the Institute of Education.

Teaching responsibilities

I currently teach on the International Postgraduate Certificate of Education (iPGCE).

I lead the professional development of teaching staff in the Further Education (FE) and Skills sector, whilst teaching English at GCSE level.

Professional interests

In addition to my work at the University of Derby, I am an English GCSE teacher and a Teaching and Learning Quality Lead in the FE and Skills sector. I hold a Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status (QTLS) and Advanced Teacher Status (ATS)/Chartered Teacher Status (CTeach).

Research interests

I am currently undertaking a research degree, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Education with a focus on teacher professional development.

Membership of professional bodies

I am a member of the Society for Education and Training.
