About

I am Programme Lead for the International PGCE (iPGCE). This programme brings together early career teachers with experienced practitioners and school leaders all over the world in a thriving and diverse community of practice. I lead a team of Tutors with expertise and experience across the range of contemporary global education. The iPGCE develops both practical teaching skills and your own professional agency, enabling student teachers to flourish in what is a rapidly changing and uncertain world.

Teaching responsibilities

I authored and lead the Professional Identity module of the iPGCE, and teach across all modules of that programme.

In addition, I supervise doctoral research and continue to teach and lead modules across Levels 3 (Foundation/A-Level) to 7 (Masters Level).

Research interests

I am interested in the History of Education, and in its intersection with the Philosophy of Education. In my teaching I draw out the decisive impact of these fields on educational practice.
