About

I am a Lecturer in Computer Science, at the School of Computing, College of Science and Engineering at University of Derby, UK. I obtained my PhD degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China where I received the prestigious scholarship CGS-UP. I am involved in teaching Joint Programme in collaboration with Shenyang University of Technology China. Previously, I worked as Assistant Professor-Cyber Security, Secure Cyber Systems Research Group (SCSRG), WMG, at the University of Warwick. At the University of Warwick, I was involved in designing key Certifications for Professional Development (CPD) training courses under catapult and conceptualising the training materials based on data and research, testing, and reviewing training material. I was fully involved in managing the delivery schedules and organising sessions, open communication channels with delegates/clients, and maintaining a database of all training materials.

My research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security and Machine Learning & Deep Learning solutions with a special focus on Artificial Intelligence based solutions for E-Healthcare, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoTs), Smart Farming, Smart Hospital and Food Security Management. I have authored/co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed papers including systematic literature reviews (SLR), state-of-the-art novel network protocols, scientific articles, book chapters in high-ranked academic journals and conference proceedings. I have also been a regular reviewer of top scientific international journals such as IEEE Transactions in Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications & Networking, IEEE journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, Cluster Computing & Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology etc.

I am an active research member of the Data Science Research Centre (DSRC) and working on AI-based innovative solutions for local and national industry.
