About

I am a postgraduate research student in Psychology. I am passionate about improving mental healthcare, particularly for individuals with Eating Disorders.

More recently, I have developed an interest in the benefits of nature connection on mental health and wellbeing. Therefore, my research project aims to develop and evaluate a nature connection for individuals with disordered eating. This is intended to sit alongside Eating Disorder preventative interventions and be accessed through social prescribing. The intervention development will involve maximal stakeholder engagement through a variety of qualitative methods, including input from individuals with lived experience of disordered eating and professionals supporting this population. This approach aims to create a tailored made intervention that is optimal for individuals with disordered eating.

I have previously worked as a Research Assistant across The University of Oxford and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, where I worked on a wide range of projects that aimed to improve the quality of mental health care. I also have experience as a support worker in mental health inpatient settings, including an adult Eating Disorder unit, which is where my passion for this area of research developed.
