About

I joined the University of Derby in 2021, having over 30 years of experience in Higher Education, in operational leadership, management and technical roles within Science, Engineering, Computing and Medical academic departments, schools and faculties. Most of my career was at the University of Nottingham enabling and supporting research, teaching and knowledge exchange.

As STEM project manager I lead on and manage the provision of training in data science, numeracy and higher-level digital skills; working in partnership with businesses, the College of Science and Engineering and a consortium of HE and FE providers as part of a ESF funded programme.

Professional interests

In addition to being a STEM advocate, I have many wider interests and business knowledge of HE, including diversity, equality, inclusion and wellbeing; coaching of teams and individuals; and developing strategy and operational solutions.
