About

I am an assistant Head of Discipline for Primary ITE. My doctorate is examining whiteness in teacher education. 

Teaching responsibilities

I teach across all primary ITE programmes and I am the QA Lead for our work with Greenwich ITE partnership. 

Research interests

My EdD research examines discourses around race. I am also very keen on student/ school partnerships as a form of CPD and have worked with a school on this.

Experience in industry

Prior to working at the University, I was a primary school teacher for 11 years. I have experience of working in three different authorities and a wide range of schools, from small, rural schools to large, inner-city schools. I have taught in Foundation stage up to Y8 in key stage 3. I do not have a preferred age group, each KS offers something unique and rewarding.

International experience

I have taught English in private academies in Spain for 2 years. I have also taught international students in London for three years.
