I am also the Placement Link Co-ordinator for DCHS South. I am a qualified nurse and have experience in Emergency and General Medicine. I have a background in Education and have a particular interest in Lifelong Learning and how it is used in the Nursing Field.

Teaching responsibilities

I am responsible for teaching students across the stages of the BSc Adult Nursing programme. This also includes apprentices and direct-entry students. I have a particular interest in teaching clinical skills, placement support, and anatomy and physiology.

As I am the Practice Cohort Lead for January 2024, I am involved in the creation of Simulation across stages for this cohort.

Research interests

My research interests are based around the student experience and how we can enhance teaching and delivery methods to further develop student education. One of my more specific areas of interest includes how we can use different types of media platforms to engage and enhance student education and fulfilment.

I am also interested in emotional well-being and how patients' emotional well-being can be improved through person-centred care in the community.
