About

I am a Senior Lecturer in Pre-Qualifying Healthcare and Stage 2 lead for Adult Nursing. I am a Registered Adult Nurse and a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor), with several years of experience working in the NHS in Acute and Community settings.

Teaching responsibilities

I lead and teach on the BSc module in Contemporary Issues in Public Health, which is delivered to nursing students in their second year of study. I also support learning, teaching and assessment across the BSc Nursing Programme and Stage lead in the second year of the nurse training.

Professional interests

I am passionate about several areas of nursing, too many to list here, but they include Public Health, Tissue Viability and Long Term conditions. As a nurse educator, I am particularly passionate about ensuring all future nurses understand their role in improving, promoting and protecting health for all;  ensuring future nurses are equipped to provide safe, holistic care that promotes optimal tissue viability or wound healing; and our future nursing workforce is resilient and equipped to provide compassionate, high-quality patient centred care.
