About

I am a lecturer in psychology. My specific research interests are gender and sexualities, with a specific focus on power relations and sexuality. The research is multidisciplinary (Psychology, Media, and Law) and considers how gender and power are represented by the media, law.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach online and on campus, with a focus on social psychology and qualitative methods. I support project students in the School of Science.

Research interests

I am interested in all aspects of gender and sexuality, but focus on women who participate in BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Submission and Dominance, and Sadomasochism), the way that they are represented by the media, and the impact this has on British law.
